Yankees bench coach Don Zimmer is thrown to the ground by Red Sox starting pitcher Pedro Martinez during an altercation in the fourth inning of Game 3 of the 2003 American League Championship Series. Both benches emptied after Red Sox batter Manny Ramirez complained about an inside pitch by Yankees starter Roger Clemens. Will the Sox and Yankees meet again in this year’s ALCS? Big congrats to Torey Krug! Hometown boy from Livonia! Monster season here at Michigan State and a great guy off the ice, too. Deserves every minute of this! Best of luck with the B’s!
Looking forward to seeing the NHL D-pairing with the biggest differential in size, haha.

Krug: “I never thought this day would come…”
BostonBruins.com – For former Michigan State University defenseman Torey Krug, it wasn’t an easy decision to forgo his senior season and sign with the Boston Bruins.
But after a long deliberation with his coach, teammates, family and friends, he opted to make the jump from the NCAA to the NHL.
“This is my dream to play in the National Hockey League,” Krug said during his press conference at Michigan State earlier today. “I think it’s every hockey player’s dream and to have the opportunity that I’ve been presented with by the Boston Bruins organization is tremendous and I never thought this day would come.”

But this is totally okay and hilarious, right?
I remember everyone on Tumblr besides Pens fans finding this to be so hilarious and clever.
What is Crosby exactly? She didn’t finish the sentence. There is…”Crosby is a…” then a crude dinosaur footprint along with a butterfly tattoo.
Oh…I get it! It’s an allusion to Ray Bradbury’s “A Sound of Thunder” in which scientists go back in time, accidentally step on a butterfly, and alter the present. Maybe she means “Crosby is a…timeless individual.” Of course, I think she could have used different imagery.
hahahahah

Bobby Orr turns 64 today. The Bruins legend won the Norris Trophy for eight straight years, became the only defenseman to lead the league in scoring (1970, 1975) and led the Bruins to two Stanley Cup championships. He is currently the president of Orr Hockey Group agency. (Neil Leifer/SI)

Stammertime!
Steven Stamkos hits 50 goals tonight! Sixth player in NHL history to do so before his 23rd birthday. Will be the third player to win the Rocket Richard Trophy twice. Likely will be the first person to win it three times. Monster year.
